If you are on a budget holiday, you can perhaps think of putting up here-less crowds (when opposed to the mainland of Venice), less expense and also good food. You can enjoy the warm water,take in some quiet or indulge in beach activities. Easy to get to from Venice. Many of the trip advisor guests recommend it, if you have the time. P.S.
